Product Import Guide

Supported Platforms

Velopage supports importing products from these popular supplier platforms:

  • AliExpress - Most popular dropshipping platform
  • 1688.com - Chinese wholesale marketplace (lower prices)
  • Taobao - Chinese retail marketplace
  • Alibaba - B2B wholesale platform

How to Import a Product

Step 1: Copy Product URL

Go to any supported platform and find a product you want to sell. Copy the full product URL from your browser.

Example: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1234567890.html

Step 2: Paste in Velopage

  • Go to Dashboard → Product Pages
  • Click "Create New"
  • Paste the product URL
  • Click "Generate"

Step 3: Wait for Processing

Velopage will automatically:

  • Scrape all product data (title, description, images, variants)
  • Optimize product descriptions with AI
  • Generate SEO-friendly titles and meta tags
  • Format pricing and shipping information

This usually takes under 2 minutes!

Uploading Your Own Images

Want to use your own product photos instead of supplier images? No problem!

  • When creating a product page, you can upload custom images
  • Support for JPG, PNG, WEBP formats
  • Recommended size: 1000x1000px or larger
  • Upload multiple images for product galleries

Product Variants

Velopage automatically detects and imports product variants (colors, sizes, etc.) from supplier pages:

  • All variant options are imported automatically
  • Individual pricing for each variant is preserved
  • Variant images (SKU images) are linked correctly
  • You can edit, add, or remove variants before publishing

Tips for Best Results

  • Choose products with clear, high-quality images
  • Look for products with detailed descriptions (more data = better AI output)
  • Check supplier ratings and reviews before importing
  • Verify shipping times and costs match your business model

Troubleshooting

❌ "URL not supported"

Make sure you are copying the full product URL from AliExpress, 1688, Taobao, or Alibaba. The URL should include the product ID.

❌ "Product not found"

The product may have been removed by the supplier. Try a different product or check if the URL is still valid.

❌ "Import failed"

This is usually temporary. Wait a moment and try again. If the issue persists, contact support at support@velopage.io
